Camping Kit

One of the best ways to get started in camping is to purchase a camping kit.  This will save you time and money when you are in that should I or shouldn’t I buy it stage.  A lot of times you are not really sure what you will need.  Maybe it’s a family member that wants to start out and a camping kit would be ideal.

Sportz X-Treme Pac Camping Package      Most camping kits include a tent, either as pup or dome type that is good for two or three seasons.  Not one I would want to chance for winter camping.  A sleeping bag that is rated for thirty degrees, good for use in the spring, summer and fall, is a good starter bag.  A closed cell foam ground pad to keep you off the ground rounds out the sleeping portion of the camping kit.  Cook kit with personal gear such as utensils, dishes, a skillet and a carrying case for them make the camping kit an inviting buy.  Water bottles like a nalgene for hiking use or around camp complete this type of the camping kit.

Some have other miscellaneous outdoor equipment that comes along with it.  A compass, first aid kit, flashlight or fire starters make for a pretty good starting point for a camping kit like this.  Most of the equipment is a great starting point for the beginner.  If its something you have tried in the past and are serious about the outdoors, you will want to purchase each item individually so you get exactly what you want.  Most camping kits have basic equipment, not specialty items.  There are also camping kits for the youngsters that include a bug light lantern, which they can put the lightning bugs in.  A tent, folding camp chair, and some exploration items for the adventurous youngsters that enjoy the outdoors are a great way to teach them about nature.  It can be in the back yard or out at a campsite with mom and dad.

A camping kit can be bought as kitchen sets.  Wire racks or shelves fold out and hook together that hold your stove and create a kitchen in the outdoors.  Some have zippered storage bags to keep everything organized and easy to transport.  They can be hung from a tree limb or stood up on a table.  Either way all of your cooking equipment, whether it be pots and utensils or spices will be at your fingertips so you can cook like a gourmet chef in the outdoors with a camping kit.
