Camping CotFind the Camping cot of your choice in many types, sizes and materials. Depending on the type of excursion you are taking, dictates the Camping Cot that is best for you. Hiking long distances requires a lightweight one for the ease of carrying. Setting up out of a car gives the freedom for a larger more comfortable Camping Cot.
You can purchase a portable Camping Cot that is actually your tent. They set up just like a standard Camping Cot, complete with a tent and rain fly to protect you from the elements. These are great for solo trips. Generally on the heavy side, they work best if you are cross country traveling cheap or going across the state don't want to sleep in your car .
The lower the Camping Cot is to the ground the more stable it is. Sometimes you can’t always find that perfectly flat and level spot to pitch the tent. If you are six inches off the ground, the chances of you tipping out of the Camping Cot are slim. If you are twelve to sixteen inches, you may have a hard time keeping balanced. The lower you are, the warmer the Camping Cot will be. Too much air between the ground and your body will allow heat to escape. You should try to put something under the Camping Cot to eliminate the dead space if you are going to use one during the winter months. If you are out in a lot of different seasons or types of outdoor activities, you should get a Camping Cot for each type for maximum comfort and ease of travel.
